As part of the campaign, the Israeli photographer, Vardi Kahana, took a series of photos that are sensitive, heartfelt, intriguing and powerful. The photos are not meant to shock the audience and intimidate them. Quite the opposite, the photos are creating a feeling of warmth and compassion, and are of an uncompromising artistic quality.
The photos feature prominent Israeli women holding live and dead chicks, in ambiguous constellations. Are they participating in the killing of the chicks? Are they saving them? Are they mourning their fate?
An elegant package of postcards of these photos may be purchased through Let The Animals Live’s website store.
